Testimony from:
A. A. Allen, Miracle Magazine
July 1963, Page 4
At the time we took our little daughter to the Little Rock, Ark., [A. A. Allen] meeting, she was very poor. She had been under the care of the doctor for six weeks. My pastor’s wife had gone with me to see him, and the doctor told me, “I’ve done all I can do for your little girl. She’s in worse condition now than when I started treating her. My advice to you is to take her to Oklahoma City and have her operated on by a special doctor. I’ll have one ready when you get there.”
My husband and I wanted to take her to Little Rock to the meeting, but we thought we didn’t have enough money to make the trip. It was quite a ways. But God provided a miracle there, and supplied the need. We left that Friday morning at 2:00 am.
“I saw things happen under that tent I never saw happen before! The first one I saw Brother Allen pray for that night was a colored lady. I’ll never forget it! She had a great goiter on the side of her neck that hung way down. I was sitting close where I could see. Brother Allen prayed and when she left the ramp, t began to go down. It was like sticking a pin into a balloon. I knew the power of God was real!
“Brother Allen prayed for our little girl while she was asleep, ‘Lord, while this little child sleeps, perform a miracle in the Name of Jesus!
“God healed her, and she’s still healed!
“Two weeks after he prayed for her, I took her back to the family physician who had been taking care of her. He set her up on the table, examined her neck and said, “What have you done? What have you put on the thing? IT’S GONE!”
“I said, ‘I’ve just taken her to a man of God. He touched the Lord for her!” And needless to say I’m still praising God for it!
“But everyone did not rejoice with us back home. The first thing that happened when I got home, one of the sisters at the church said, “You went to that Allen revival, didn’t you! Why did you go? God was right here. You didn’t need to go there.”
“I said, ‘Yes, she’s been prayed for and God’s healed her. She had been prayed for at church by everyone that I knew who could pray. I’ve asked them all. But the need wasn’t met that way! At first I didn’t understand why we took her, but I know now!”
